jlm blew my fucking mind as the creation. his mannerisms and speech tics were absolute genius, right down to the toe-walking and jaw-wiggling. so incredible. benedict played a perfectly detestable megalomaniac. he played his scenes well, and i’ll probably watch it again specifically to pay more attention to victor. it would have been difficult to compete with the creation’s role— no matter who played him. the writing is just so heady. a lesser actor would have disappeared into the background while jlm was on the stage, but ben really held his own.

i would love to see how he handled the part of the creation.
